Peaches was thrown out of a moving car unto a concrete side walk. She had skid marks, raw spots on her skin, and was absolutely terrified. She vibrated in fear for nearly two days. She was only about 2 months old, under nurished and under weight. She was so small she fit into the palm of my hand, barely larger than a tennis ball and weighed only 1 lb to the 2 she should have been. For the next couple of months she fought for her life. She was sickly and nearly died a couple of times. But she rallied and finally grew into a healthy pretty young lady.
Peaches is cute as a button and a little purr machine when she loves on you. She has learned to trust her fostermom but is a little shy around new people. Understandable after the abuse she suffered, don't you think? She comes around for her headbuts and belly rubs but prefers not being picked up. I guess she remembers that the last person who picked her up and threw her. So she needs a person who is patient and lets her explore laps on her own accord.
Peaches is litterbox trained, social with other cats, good with calm dogs, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and healthy.
Peaches will be adopted into an inside forever home only. Reference and vet checks, as well as a home visit are required. Her adoption fee of $90 will be used to help other abused kitties like Peaches.
